What’s new with the 2025 model?
In direct comparison to the previous version, three aspects have been revised in the 2025 model. An 11 mm mounting rail has been installed instead of the previous 14 mm dovetail rail. This offers greater compatibility with common accessories and enables easy mounting of optics such as red dot sights or pistol scopes.
The markings have also been revised. They have a more modern design and look tidier – a small but important detail for anyone who likes a clean look.
In addition, the Picatinny rail under the barrel has been revised and now fits even better into the overall design. It offers an ideal mounting option for accessories such as a dry-fire training system.
Versatility thanks to two power levels
As with all HW 45 models, the Bronze Star also offers two power levels.
In the first power level, the power is around 3 to 4 joules. This is ideal for shorter distances or training indoors, where maximum penetration is not always required.
However, if you want to use the full potential of the pistol, opt for the second power stage. With this, HW 45 achieves the maximum 7.5 joules permitted in Germany – enough to hit accurately at 25 or even 50 meters.
This makes this pistol not only a fun tool, but also a serious training tool for anyone who regularly works with handguns.
Compact dimensions of the HW 45 Bronze Star
With an overall length of 28 cm and a barrel length of 17 cm, HW 45 Bronze Star is a compact air pistol. Its weight is 1.16 kg, which ensures good handling and stable shooting behavior.
The Truglo fiber optic sights are adjustable and provide a clear target image – even in low light conditions.
The trigger is match-like and can be finely adjusted. Anyone who has ever shot with a poorly adjusted trigger knows how much this can affect the shot. This is where the HW 45 Bronze Star scores with excellent control and feedback.
HW 45 Bronze Star also for left-handers
The ergonomically shaped laminated wood grip in black grey is ambidextrous and fits comfortably in both the right and left hand. Its shape ensures a secure grip and makes longer training sessions comfortable.
The manual safety catch is intuitive to operate and is in a position that is easy to reach.
Spring piston system – reliable and independent
The tried-and-tested spring piston system ensures a reliable energy supply without the need for cartridges, CO2, or compressed air. This makes the HW 45 Bronze Star particularly interesting for anyone who wants to train independently – whether at the shooting range at home or on the move. No additional equipment is required to get started.

The Cerakote coating
The absolute highlight is the beautiful Cerakote coating in bronze.
Cerakote is a ceramic-based protective coating that is particularly resistant to scratches, abrasion, and corrosion. Thanks to its minimal coating thickness of just 0.001 mm, it is ideal for precision components such as air guns.
The surface not only feels high-quality, but it also looks classy. The bronze finish gives the pistol its very own character and clearly sets it apart visually from the other versions – such as Black Star, STL and Standard.
