Today I’m taking a look at the CLASSIC 4-12×50 from Anschütz Optics – a riflescope built for both airgun shooters and hunters who need reliable performance in changing light conditions. Especially when image clarity and brightness are a priority.
Sharp image from 4x to 12x
With the variable 4x to 12x magnification of Anschütz Optics CLASSIC 4-12×50, the scope is perfect for mid-range shooting – whether you’re target shooting or using a .22 on the range.
The generous 50 mm objective lens brings in plenty of light, a real advantage at dusk or in shady woodland areas. The field of view ranges from 8.7 to 2.9 meters at 100 m, providing a good balance between overview and focus.
L4A Reticle with illumination
The L4A reticle is simple, clean, and gives a very clear aiming point. It’s ideal for precise shots on small targets. The 6-stage illumination makes the reticle visible in tricky lighting without overpowering the image. This is great for low-light shooting or backlit targets.
The 1-inch (25.4 mm) main tube is compatible with many common mounts, whether for an air rifle or a hunting setup. FMC-coated lenses provide a bright, high-contrast image. Anschütz Optics CLASSIC 4-12×50 is rated IP67, making it dustproof and waterproof for outdoor use.
The parallax adjustment starts at 9 meters and goes all the way to infinity – useful for short-range airgun or rimfire shooting, and just as effective for long-range hunting.
The capped turrets adjust in 1/10 MRAD clicks, and the total adjustment range is 7.2 MRAD. More than enough for typical airgun or rimfire zeroing.

My Conclusion
The Anschütz Optics CLASSIC 4-12×50 is a bright and straightforward scope, ideal for airgun and rimfire shooters, but also perfectly suited for hunters.
If you want an optic that’s rugged, easy to use, and reliable in poor lighting, this one is well worth a look. Its clear L4A reticle and bright image quality make it a solid mid-range all-rounder for precision shooters.
