Today I‘ll show you the Huben GK1 pistol!
A compressed air pistol that revolutionizes the market.
I already showed you the big brother of Huben GK1 a few years ago: The Huben K1 air rifle. The technology is similar, it’s basically reduced to an extremely compact size.
I will show you in my review that the pistol, like the rifle, is incredible fun.

Technical specifications of Huben GK1
The Huben GK1 pistol is a compressed air pistol that works with a pressure of 300 bar. The cylinder has a capacity of 85cc. Huben states that this is sufficient for 40 shots at a power of 7.5J. Then the pistol has to be refilled with air. You can do so using a pump, a compressed air bottle, or a compressor.
The pistol is 32.5 cm / 12.7” long, the barrel measures 21 cm / 8.2” and is in caliber 5.5mm / .22”. The pellets can be inserted into the 19-round drum magazine from the right. To rotate the magazine for loading, a lever on the left side of the action has to be tilted downwards. Then you can continue to rotate the magazine clockwise after loading a pellet.
Huben GK1 has a manual safety. It is next to the pressure gauge on the left-hand side. Once you have disabled the safety, you can fire 19 shots in less than 3 seconds.
It’s incredibly fun.
The trigger allows you to fire in quick succession. With a trigger weight of less than 250 grams, it is extremely smooth and there is no risk of misfiring due to the weight.
Shooting Huben GK1
I had been looking forward to the test for a really long time. Over the last few months, I have been asked countless times when I’ll finally review it. As I have been able to test the Huben K1 air rifle extensively over the last few years, I had very high expectations of the air pistol.
Not only did I expect a lot of shooting fun, but also a high level of quality.
I took the pistol out of the gun case and my first thoughts were: it looks great, feels great in the hand and the grip is beautiful. At 1.2 kg / 2.6 lbs., it is not at all heavy for a pistol.
I quickly put air into the pistol with the included Quickfill adapter, loaded it with 19 of my 5.5mm / .22” pellets and shot on my Sport Quantum SQ10.
After the first shot, I was thrilled! The trigger is incredibly well adjusted and very smooth. Huben GK1 is more precise than I will ever be able to achieve, and shooting with the semi-automatic is incredibly fun.
The only thing I would suggest is that you buy a silencer adapter and a silencer. Because the pistol is really, really loud even at 7.5J. If you only shoot in a shooting club, it may not matter. But I can absolutely recommend it if you want to use it at home!
But that’s really the only “point of criticism” I could find in my review. And that can be easily solved.
