Today I show you Weihrauch HW 100 T!

A compressed air rifle designed and manufactured in Mellrichstadt, Germany. I did a detailed review of the Weihrauch HW 100 earlier. You can watch the video and read the post HERE.

Today’s rifle is the same in terms of the system, but with a standard barrel with a silencer thread and a thumbhole stock. And that’s what I present to you now.

The meaning of the “T” in the name

In the name of Weihrauch air rifles, letters such as “T”, “S”, “K” or “FSB” appear repeatedly. Since I have been asked many times, I will now break down what these mean.

If there is a “K” after the number in the name, it means that it is a short version of the model. Weihrauch HW 100 K’s barrel is 12.2” (310mm) long instead of 16.1” (410mm).

The “S” stands for the normal pistol grip. The “T”, as seen here on today’s rifle, stands for “thumbhole”. So, it has a thumbhole stock.

The system of Weihrauch HW 100 T

HW 100 T is a compressed air rifle with a cartridge that can be filled with up to 200 bars of pressure. Once the cartridge is completely filled, you can fire 380 rounds before having to recharge the rifle with a pump, charging cylinder, or compressor.

The system of HW 100 T is completely made of high-quality metal. There is also a regulator built into this system. It ensures that no matter the pressure in the cartridge, the performance of the rifle always remains constant. This is enormously important for precise grouping. In my review of Weihrauch HW 100 model 2020, I also measured this consistency with a chronograph. I can only recommend this review and video to everyone.

HW 100 has an excellent trigger. It is adjustable in two stages and provides absolutely remarkable results due to its low trigger weight.

Special features of Weihrauch HW 100 T

Weihrauch HW 100 T offers many special features. The shooter is free to choose whether to mount a scope on an 11mm dovetail rail or use the adaptable Picatinny rail included in the scope of delivery. I would base it on what mounts you already have. If you don’t have a scope with a mount that you want to put on your HW 100, then you just have to ask yourself if you want to use this scope on any other rifles. Because then I would recommend you use the Picatinny rail and a Picatinny mount. Repeatable mounting of the scope when switching between rifles is much easier with the standardized rail and mounts.

In my store at www.jabolo.de we provide support for choosing mounts. You will find them directly on the right in the accessories section of the respective scope.

Another special feature of HW 100 T is the lever. It has been upgraded in the 2020 version of HW 100. There is a hole at the end of the lever through which a screw can be inserted, which then holds a plastic pin. This turns the straight lever into a biathlon cocking lever. Thus, the lever can be handled more intuitively. I feel this is a major upgrade, as it greatly increases the handling when shooting.

The stock

The quality of the Weihrauch rifle is also evident in the stock. It is manufactured to an extremely high standard. The rubberized buttplate of the ambidextrous stock downright melts into the wood. No gaps or protrusions can be seen.

The wood itself is also of a high quality and the vein looks great. They didn’t just use any piece of wood. The only recommendation I have is to maintain it regularly with stock finish. It seems a little dry to me. Stock finish protects the wood from drying out, graying and the risk that it will eventually break.

I always say: with good care, Weihrauch air rifles outlive their owners, no matter how old they are.

My conclusion of Weihrauch HW 100 T

Whether you just want to plink a little on cans and targets or are considering competing for the first time, Weihrauch HW 100 T can be the right companion for that. The rifle is of high quality, precise and just plain fun to use.

Have you ever shot with a Weihrauch HW 100? Or do you have one?

I would be happy if you stop by my blog again next week.
