Today I‘ll show you the new Weihrauch HW 95 S!
Weihrauch HW 95 S is the successor of Weihrauch HW 95 Luxus, which I have of course already showed to you on my blog. You can read the post and watch the video HERE.
Weihrauch HW 95 S is the updated version of this rifle, which has some special features in store for you. And today I’m going to show you these in detail with close-up photos and a video.

Technical specifications of Weihrauch HW 95 S
HW 95 S is a break-barrel air rifle produced in Mellrichstadt, Germany.
The action is of high quality and beautifully burnished.
Like many other high-quality Weihrauch spring-piston air rifles, the rifle also features the match trigger Rekord. Quite a few shooters out there believe that this is the best trigger in the recreational shooting sector. The match trigger Rekord is fully adjustable. You can adjust the pre-travel, point of release, and trigger weight precisely to your requirements.
Weihrauch HW 95 S has an automatic safety. This is activated the moment you cock the barrel. When you hear a soft “click”, the safety has engaged. Now the rifle is locked, and no shots can be fired accidentally.
The safety is deactivated by pushing the small pin at the end of the action back into the action from the left. Then the rifle is cocked, and the shot can be fired by pulling the trigger.
Weihrauch HW 95 S has a rear sight and front sight. The rear sight can of course be adjusted laterally and in height. You can also choose between one of the four rear sight cut-outs.
The shooter also can choose the front sight. The front sight is fitted in the front sight tunnel and can be exchanged for 4 additional front sight inserts included in the scope of delivery. I have to admit that I always use the standard front sight insert. But it’s nice to have a choice!
The special stock
Let’s take a look at the stock of Weihrauch HW 95 S. The stock features major changes compared to the old model, Weihrauch HW 95 Luxus. I’m not saying that the HW 95 Luxus is outdated. Not at all!
However, I have to admit that I like the new, modern design of HW 95 S even better.
The rifle’s checkering was redesigned in the fore-end area and on the grip. You can see this in my detailed photos and my video.
The stock is now stained a beautiful dark brown and looks like a walnut stock. However, it is still beech wood.
The fixed butt plate of HW 95 Luxus has now been upgraded to a height-adjustable butt plate. This special feature and the new height-adjustable cheek piece make the rifle even more user-friendly and perfectly suitable for shooters of all heights.
The cheek piece adjustment has also been wonderfully solved in typical Weihrauch fashion. The height of the cheek piece can be adjusted simply by lightly pressing the recessed button in the buttstock.
If you want to shoot using the rear sight and front sight, you will certainly want to position the cheek piece far down so that you can comfortably acquire the target using the sights.
If you are shooting with a riflescope, you can now raise the cheek piece so that you can look through the scope perfectly without any parallax issues.
The new stock also offers another advantage. It can be used ambidextrously, making it suitable for both left- and right-handed shooters. The cheek piece is identical on both sides and the long fore-end can be held comfortably even by very tall shooters.

My conclusion
The new features of Weihrauch’s HW 95 S are exactly what I like.
HW 95 Luxus wasn’t really on my radar, but the new HW 95 S has caught my interest now.
A fully adjustable stock is still a rarity on spring-piston air rifles, but in my opinion, it offers really great advantages.
As always, the shooting performance is excellent, as is typical for Weihrauch!
